General secretary (1999-2005); organizing a coordinating structure which made the work and thinking of the German sociologist, anthropologist and philosopher Helmuth Plessner accessible to interdisciplinary research and an international public. An important step was the reprint of the key works ("Einheit der Sinne", "Grenzen der Gemeinschaft", "Macht und menschliche Natur", "Verspätete Nation", "Lachen und Weinen" and "Conditio humana") in the stw-complete works (Werkausgabe) by the Suhrkamp-Verlag in 2003. The highly differentiated interconnections among bio-, social, and cultural sciences, which Plessner accomplished for his time, shall be kept present and contemporaneous through editions, translations and symposia, thereby promoting the systematic continuation of Philosophical Anthropology. The foundation and development of the Helmuth Plessner Gesellschaft (HPG) (approx. 110 members) was followed by the construction of a website, which contains continuously updated research information (chronological listing of works, bibliography of secondary literature (from 1990)), and organization of the First International Helmuth Plessner congress ('Helmuth Plessner - Exzentrische Positionalität", Freiburg November 2000). Publication of an anthology at Suhrkamp in 2002 (Plessners 'Grenzen der Gemeinschaft'. Eine Debatte). Support of a Chinese Plessner-edition. Planning and conducting of the English-speaking Second International Plessner Congress ('Philosophical Anthropology, Politics and Society') at the University of Krakow from 27.03.2003 - 30.03. 2003 in cooperation with the 'Centre of Political Thought' (OMP) Krakow, Conditio Humana Warsaw, Jagiellonien University Krakow. Third International Plessner Congress 'Expressivität und Stil' (Expressivity and Style) in Florence/Italy 2006 in responsibility of Prof. Dr. Bruno Accarino; 'Plessner-Workshop: Leben und Denken Helmuth Plessners im Blick junger Forschungen' (Helmuth Plessner's life and thinking from the perspective of young researchers) 22./23. 04. 2004 in Dresden (conference proceedings in German).
